Meet the Trainers
Richard Thompson
For over 25 years, Richard has been professionally advising within the tech, security and building trade industries and strives to provide impartial advice to his clients. Richard’s bespoke solutions include anything from single socket installations to new build specifications for apartment blocks. Richard is a Smart Home Consultant at Lightwave and has recently achieved an NICEIC Accessory Replacement qualification. As one of the lead trainers for Lightwave PRO, Richard’s wealth of experience within Smart Home Automation means he can answer almost any question from people of all levels of Smart Home knowledge.
Roly Ahir
Roly’s electrical expertise has been refined over a 20-year career in the entertainment industry, covering key technical areas such as live sound engineering, lighting technician and visual effects programming. As Senior Technical & App specialist at Lightwave, Roly is Accessory Replacement qualified through the NICEIC, and has been providing exceptional support since 2015. Whether on a site visit, training qualified electricians, customising electrical specification drawings or providing support over the phone, it is very rare for Roly to be presented an installation scenario that he can’t solve. At Lightwave’s head office, Roly works closely with Lightwave’s software & hardware engineer teams, and he is certainly an expert when it comes to all things Lightwave.
What's Included
There is no cost to attend the training webinar. Once completed, we will give you a one-time £50 discount toward one of our Smart Lighting & Power Starter Kits, which has everything you need to get started with the Lightwave system. You’ll be able to set up your own Link Plus hub, install your Smart Dimmer and Smart Socket at home and start getting used to our smart home system.
Once you fill out our post-installation survey, we will confirm that you have the necessary understanding of the Lightwave system, at which point you will become an official Lightwave PRO!
Installer Map
Once you complete our training course, your company address and details will be featured on our installer map. This is a great resource for our customers to contact with our PRO network to book installations. We also present this map to new & existing online customers.
